Story
FareShare fights hunger in the UK by redistributing good food which would otherwise go to waste to almost 11,000 frontline charities nationwide. They feed almost a million people a week but there's an urgent need to do more.
The SCL Education Group work across the UK engaging children and adults of all ages in childcare, sports education, and a range of workforce development programmes. We are proud to work with primary schools, a number of sports clubs and academies, businesses and organisations across the UK; together enriching the lives of the children and adults in the communities we serve.
We have seen first hand the impact of both food poverty and the strain the pandemic has had on the physical and emotional wellbeing of our children, young people, staff, and families.
We have designed a way to help raise money for FareShare to stock and redistribute food; supporting the fantastic work they already do across the UK. Our aim is that #RunforRashford will encourage our children, students, staff and partners to participate in all important physical exercise as much as they can, to boost their physical and emotional wellbeing during this time of Government restrictions.
We are truly grateful for any support, encouragement and donations you can give to our participants, as they spend the next four weeks 'clocking up the miles' to raise money to support FareShare with additional resources they can provide during the February half-term..
Please join the fight against hunger and food waste and support us, to support FareShare today! Share your journey by using #RunforRashford each time you complete your walk or run so we can celebrate our achievements together!
