Hi Everyone! St Margaret’s will be walking 117 miles for this year’s Virtual Kiltwalk; each mile will mark one child who has met their forever family through St Margaret’s in the last ten years. The St Margaret’s team taking part in ‘A Mile A Child’ are hoping to raise vital funds to close major funding gaps caused by the pandemic. The pressures of the last year have led to more people needing support, and at the same time, the restrictions have affected fundraising activities. Every staff member from the social work team to the admin team will be pulling on their walking shoes to take part in the Virtual Kiltwalk 2021 over the weekend of 23rd-25th April. Head of Services Paula Harkins said: ‘The idea of completing 117 miles does feel a little daunting, but thinking of each and every one of our amazing St Margaret’s children as we walk-it will make this year’s Kiltwalk incredibly special. Every penny we raise will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation. Any donation you can spare will mean the world to our families and us.’ Follow the team’s progress on training walks and across the Virtual Kiltwalk weekend - and cheer them on virtually via > https://www.facebook.com/stmargaretsadoptionsociety
