Hello!  Thank you ever so much for visiting my Just Giving page.

I am extremely proud to be running the London Marathon this year in memory of my father-in law, Terry Jones, who sadly passed away in 2016.

I am running for Havens Hospices, an incredible charity, one in which will always remain very close to our hearts.Terry showed a long standing commitment to the Havens charity. As well as donating monthly and at Christmas time, Terry trained hard for the London Marathon some years ago in order to raise money for Little Havens - a fact which makes me even prouder to be running myself this year. Unfortunately, towards the end of his training he had to pull out due to a knee injury, however, all of his sponsors kindly honoured their donations and he was proud to present a cheque to the charity. In September 2016, the Havens Hospice at Home team cared for Terry at home during his final three days.

The family visited Fair Havens to present them with the donations made in memory of Terry after his funeral in which we were all touched by the generosity of all of Terry's family and friends.  To date, the charity have already received a sum in excess of £3000 in Terry's name. My goal is to increase this sum so that Terry's dedication to the charity continues on.

The care and support Havens Hospices provide in all of their various capacities is truly remarkable and the amazing work that they do is only possible due to the generosity of supporters.

If you know me, you will appreciate I am not known for my athletic abilities and I am under no illusions how difficult a task this well be. I have been training since the beginning of the year and will continue to work hard to ensure that I am as prepared as I can be to complete this challenge.
