Story
I will be attempting to climb the height of Mount Everest (29,029 ft) over 30 days during lockdown, using the stairs in my home. That's 111 flights of stairs per day and 3318 flights overall. This runs from 18th May to 16th June 2020.
I will be doing this along with my colleagues from TravelSuperMarket i aid of our charity partner The Prince's Trust who do some great things for young people in need of some support, especially right now.
The Prince's Trust are supporting young people to ensure they continue to learn new skills, grow in confidence and prepare for the future during this time. So we're asking everyone to get involved and Challenge Yourself to use your time at home to #GetCreative, #GetSkilled or #GetActive and this can be either a 30-day challenge, or a quick upskill.
The Covid-19 pandemic is taking its toll on the nation in so many different ways, but it is those who are vulnerable in our society who have become even more vulnerable. With a generation of young people facing mental health issues, unemployment, debt or lack of education, they are in need of our support right now.
The Prince’s Trust have created the Young People Relief Fund for communities, like us, to come together and support this cause.
