I participated and won the greasy pole at the Marymass festival 2016 this year and the money I earned from doing so I am donating to cancer research in memory of Fiona Lindsay, who passed away suddenly on Thursday 11th August 2016 Fiona was only diagnosed 1 week before her death with Metastatic Adenocarcinoma which for everyone who knew her is a devastating situation. Fiona was a loving mother, gran, daughter, sister and friend. Fiona was a helpful, caring and loyal individual, she never saw the bad in anybody and her door was always open to everyone. Fiona always had a smile on her face and would never pass anyone in the street without a cheerful hello, she never bothered anyone else with her own problems, and would rather help others with theirs. Which makes me feel even more strongly about donating all the money I have earned to this charity and also after her family raising money at her funeral with a donation box to cancer research I would like to give people the opportunity to join me in donating to this cause in memory of Fiona.
Hopefully in a short period of time the money donated will have made an impact to another family and stop causing devastation in this world.
