Story

What is the 50 Peaks Project?

In celebration of the park’s 50th birthday, Seattle-based photographer Scott Kranz (@scott_kranz) climbed 50 peaks inside the national park boundary within the 2018 climbing season to shine a light on the beauty and value of this unique park and public lands as a whole.

Scott Kranz is a full-time outdoor photographer based in Seattle, Washington, specializing in mountain sports, landscape, and travel photography and storytelling. Since moving to Washington State and discovering the North Cascades for himself in 2013, Scott has come to love the North Cascades like no other range. Partnering with the world’s leading outdoor brands, Scott’s professional work has involved travel to all seven continents. Find out more at www.scott-kranz.com/50peaks.
