A year ago (25th June 2016), my son Ross had a seizure in the middle of the night, as I’m sure you can imagine this was a shock to our family. As part of the investigation into what caused the seizure, he was sent for a brain scan – you can only imagine our disbelief when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
A year on and a number of scans & consultations later, Ross has made the incredibly brave decision to go for an operation to get the tumour removed – all being well, this will be done in September. All things considered, Ross is doing really well and his Epilepsy is under control.
On the 12th August 2017 I’ll be swimming the length of Loch Lomond (22 miles/36kms) in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity. I am hoping that we can raise a decent amount of money to support the work that the Brain Tumour Charity does, so that they can carry on their research.
