I am taking part in a 9 week MMA training program at Round One Boxing Gym and will be competing in a white collar MMA event at Chelmsford racecourse on the 16th March 2019. The event will be raising money for this young lad from Chelmsford called Alex who has cerebral palsy.

In the simplest explanation, when Alex was born he was deprived of oxygen during the birth which caused damage that developed into cerebral palsy. He has lived all of his life with this condition and which causes him to be in pain all the time and cannot move about unassisted. Recently an operation has come out on the NHS that is guaranteed to stop the pain and has a 95% chance of making him be able to walk again without any assistance, But the long term physiotherapy and special equipment needed to ensure a successful recovery isn't. Please look at the picture attached down the bottom in the photo's for Alex's story in more depth.

The amount for the physiotherapy and special equipment is £20,000 and that is what all of us competing are raising money towards by selling tickets to the event and receiving donations.
