Bath Half Marathon 2015 · 1 March 2015 ·

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Jack Boulton, who was 17, collapsed and died during football training in Saltford on August 19th 2009. Jack's death was as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest.

Jack was a talented sportsman and had a bright academic future ahead of him. He attended the sixth-form at Wellsway School and played football for Keynsham and Saltford football clubs, cricket for Keynsham cricket club and was junior captain at Saltford golf club.

I am running the Bath Half Marathon to raise funds for the charity as they are doing great work in researching the deaths of young people and are making continued progress in raising awareness, providing screening and important help for those who are and have been affected.

This is my first half marathon and I would be very grateful if you could kindly donate anything, big or small, to help reach my target and raise money for a great cause.
