4/4/48 · 25 June 2020

The Bexley Moorings Project is a small charity providing invaluable support to some of the most vulnerable young people in Bexley. The young people we support may be experiencing abuse, bullying or social isolation. Support is offered by volunteers through a one to one befriending service providing the young people with a listening ear, as well as a weekly group to develop the young people’s social skills. Funds raised will go towards the cost of running these services, as well as one-off trips and experiences which the young people would not otherwise have access to.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've grown a little bored in lockdown and decided that it would be good to do some kind of challenge. The 4/4/48 seems a great challenge (both physically and mentally) with the added bonus that maybe I can raise some money for charity.

Starting at 1pm on Thursday 25th June I will attempt to run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. That's 48 miles in total and will include runs at 1am and 5am two nights in a row. I don't tend to function very well on little sleep so I don't expect this will be a walk in the park.

The charity do some fantastic work locally and I know that any donation you make will be greatly appreciated.

Schedule:

Thursday 1pm - 5pm - 9pm

Friday 1am - 5am - 9am - 1pm  - 5pm - 9pm

Saturday 1am - 5am - 9am

If anybody is in the Lewisham area and fancies tagging along for one of these, just give me a shout.
