Story
I am doing this for a very inspirational young man called Jack Mitchell who I have had the pleasure to get to know over the last year. Jack has cerebral palsy, which means he needs help and support with everyday tasks.
Paces is a specialist school for children with cerebral palsy, and they are wanting to raise £1 million to build a much needed new home for the children in their care.
Jack has attended Paces all of his life and has now just turned 18. Paces is very important to Jack, these are his own words.
“Paces is very special to my heart. we help children and families with cerebral palsy and we try to help them with conductive programmes to transform their lives.”
In the little time that I’ve know him, it is clear that Jack is a very bright, thoughtful and determined young man. He regularly raises money himself with the help of his Dad with his woodwork skills, selling some impressive creations that he’s worked hard on in his shed.
Paces has helped Jack and so many more children, and it would make myself and Jack very happy to help raise just a little bit towards their target.
I’ll be running this half marathon with this in mind, and your donations will help spur me on when it gets tough!
