We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

This September we will be driving over 2,000 miles and covering 8 countries in 5 days in the Screwball Rally, an organised fundraising event where the vehicles must be worth less than £750.00.

So in September we set off in our £340 ebay scrapper car, full of camping gear, a mini fridge, monster munch and haribo. What could possibly go wrong?

Motor neurone disease (MND) describes a group of diseases that affect the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. With MND, messages from these nerves gradually stop reaching the muscles, leading them to weaken, stiffen and waste.

MNDA is the UK's leading charity for support of sufferers and their families, and research into the disease.

About the charity

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 10am and 4pm.
