In 2021 I was just 1 of the estimated 2.5 million people who benefited from the great support, information, resources and services that Macmillan provide. You can read that 1 in 2 UK people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, but this can still never prepare you for your own diagnosis and the battle both physically and emotionally that you and those close to you go through.

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.

Support is such a valuable component. This is something that Screwfix allows to flourish and it is great to have this support network and why I am proud to be joined on this Mighty Hike with fellow Managers in the area. Many people in the wider Screwfix team will have a story similar to mine and that is why we are ready for the Mighty Hike challenge, to help raise money for such a worthy cause.
