Screwfix-a-thon · 3 October 2021 ·

We are passionate about helping people in need! We fund projects that will improve properties and community facilities used by those most in need throughout our communities across the UK We have awarded more than £14m, helping thousands of worthy not for profit organisations.

Story

I form part of one of many teams participating in the 2021 Screwfix-a-thon, my team is Scrambled Legs, made up of a bunch of non-runners who agreed to this when I was on Maternity leave and now I have little choice but to get as fit as I can an give this a go!

I’m aiming for £100 to run 5k… and because I’m getting a little over ambitious, if I get to £200, I’ll buggy run it (because Olivia should really be being sponsored too, she’s spent hours tolerating my mid buggy run mental battles!).

If the many colleagues participating achieve a combined total of £40k, Screwfix will double it!

Screwfix's Business Planning team will be relaying the London (Yeovil!) Marathon on 3rd October. We're absolutely not runners - during a virtual exercise session where we were meant to be doing press ups, half the team admitted afterwards that they hid under their desks off-camera. BUT! We'll have a go. It's for a brilliant cause and we are so proud to be fundraising for The Screwfix Foundation. The Screwfix Foundation raises funds to support projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need throughout the UK. The Foundation works with both national and local charities, donating much needed funds to help all sorts of projects, from repairing buildings and improving facilities in deprived areas, to decorating the homes of people living with sickness and disabilities.Thank you for your support!
