Seal Pool Appeal · 23 October 2014

Across England and Wales, we're the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - the UK's largest animal welfare charity. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome many animals each year and campaign and educate to prevent animal cruelty. The RSPCA is registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

Story

Orphaned and injured seals can require many months of rehabilitation before they are heavy and fit enough to survive on their own in the sea. Only with a deep water pool can they build muscle and exhibit the normal behaviour we need to see as part of their assessment for release back to the wild.

  • £3,000 means 30 seals could practice deep water movement
  • £1,000 could pay for 10 pups to exercise and build up muscle
  • £500 allows 5 seals to socialise with other seals before release
  • £100 could pay for 1 seal pup’s final rehabilitation.
Please help vulnerable seals return to the sea where they belong.
