Story
Orphaned and injured seals can require many months of rehabilitation before they are heavy and fit enough to survive on their own in the sea. Only with a deep water pool can they build muscle and exhibit the normal behaviour we need to see as part of their assessment for release back to the wild.
- £3,000 means 30 seals could practice deep water movement
- £1,000 could pay
for 10 pups to exercise and build up muscle
- £500 allows 5 seals to socialise with other seals before release
- £100 could pay for 1 seal pup’s final rehabilitation.
