Jump for Joy! Skydive · 21 March 2017

We provide a unique service, designed and developed to meet the needs of children who have experienced significant trauma and loss. We believe every child at Seamab is special, and we help them to believe in themselves. Children attend school at Seamab and live with us all year round.

Story

Joy is one of Seamab's Seachangers - one of seven characters that tell the story of the children who live and learn here. This is Joy's story:

Joy has always lived at Seamab. When some kids arrive here, they can't seem to find her. They've never met her before and they don't really know what she looks like. When they are introduced to her they can be hostile at first - she is a stranger after all. Given enough time, care and attention, every one of our children can get to know Joy.

On June 27th, eight of our very brave care staff - Erin, Gary, Brenda, Lynn, Anne, Paul, Rebecca and Danielle will be doing tandem skydives to raise funds to help the children who live and learn at Seamab, all of whom have had experiences of abuse, neglect, trauma and loss.

No-one understands better how much the children aged between 5 and 13 who come to Seamab deserve support.

Please support the team by donating whatever you can. All of the funds raised will help Seamab to provide the support and experiences that the children need to help them heal, grow and learn.

Thank you so much.
