Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 · 8 September 2019 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page is to help gather donations for my first time runnning in the Great North Run in September of this year. This is my first time running any major long distance, but I have been training since last year and I am hoping that this will be enough to complete the run in around three hours, fingers crossed!

The charity that I am doing this run on behalf of is the NSPCC, a fantastic charity that is working to prevent child abuse and help children with mental illness across the whole of the UK. The work they do is vitally important, for instance their recent Lighthouse centre was established in London to provide therapy and aid for children surviving child abuse and trauma. I hope you will be able to help me and the NSPCC with donations in order to continue making children's lives better.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you have donated thank you so so much, it is an amazing help big or small. I will continue to try and update this page with some of the training I will be doing for the run.

Thank you again for all the support!
