Thanks for taking the time to visit my Triathlon Challenge Page.

All my life I have constantly challenged myself to be the best I can be at any sporting challenge I undertake. 

I am a very competitive, sports driven person & sometimes I fall short of the level I wish to achieve, I have learnt that although this frustrates me, it is a learning curve that gives me the confidence to go again.

Luckily I have reached my current age and I am still able to live an active life, so when the opportunity to do this Triathlon came up it was an easy decision (not sure why I agreed to do the Olympic version though LOL). When we decided to partner up with Nordoff Robbins who unknown to me at the time is coincidently musically associated with Dementia, the same as my wife Lisa Bates who is the Registered Manager of Meadows Sands Care Home in Skegness, she also uses her background in entertainment in therapy within her home, so it was a fitting charity to compete for, especially seeing first hand the positive way music impacts on the lives of people with Dementia. 

I hope my friends and family will agree that Nordoff Robbins are a worthy charity who do tremendous work throughout the UK so please dig deep to support me & my fellow Tri Team in our challenge.
