Clowne Half Marathon · 28 November 2021

We support young women by helping them tackle life’s biggest challenges. When faced with issues such as alcohol misuse, domestic abuse, unemployment, sexual exploitation, poor health and wellbeing, Bright Futures is here to Support, Educate, Empower and Influence – giving them a brighter future.

Story

Buckingham Group Directors have challenged our Newcastle Metro Flow project team to raise funds for a local charity, and if we raise a target amount of £250.00, they have kindly offered to add a further £1000.00 to the total. See detail below.

‘Following on from last year’s successful Christmas Charity Challenge the board have agreed again to provide selected sites with £1000 for a chosen LOCAL charity on the proviso the site team raise a minimum of £250, and your site has been selected by your sector MD to participate in this challenge. Last year our site teams really got stuck in and as a group we raised over £64.000 for charities across the country, with site teams reporting back how much they enjoyed taking part. Good luck everyone !’

With this in mind we have chosen to donate our funds to ‘Bright Futures North East’ via this ‘Just Giving’ website on which you can easily donate any amount to help us hit that target. For your kind donations I have offered to suffer the pain of running the ‘Clowne Half Marathon’ on Sunday 28th November with Mike Torrington an ex work colleague of mine who has kindly agreed to help.
