Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

In loving memory

of Rebekah (Becky) Alderson, Sean and Michael's cousin, once removed.

Rebekah (Becky) Alderson was sadly taken from everyone that loved and knew her on 6th April 2012 when she was involved in a tragic car accident by no fault of her own.

Becky was a very keen runner and a huge animal lover but overall she was just a wonderful, caring and loving person who strived to be the best at everything she done.

Last year money was raised for the Dogs Trust by request of her family. This year Becky's family have decided to support Brake, the road safety charity who support victims of road traffic accidents.

In her memory, many friends and family are doing a memorial run in which Sean Collins aged 7, and Michael Goodliff aged 5, both from Hylands Primary School, will be RUNNING the 10 miles!

To encourage them to go as fast as they can they need your support! They have promised that the more you donate the faster they will go and reckon that if half of their fund raising target is reached they will complete it in less than three hours!!

So set them the challenge and make them eat their words as their little legs push their body’s to the limit.

So please support Sean and Michael in their 10 mile memorial run by digging deep into your pockets and donate all that loose change now.

The event is set to take place on 12 May 2013
