This Autumn, after a 13 year hiatus, I will be making my Half Marathon running comeback by taking on the Royal Parks to raise funds for Magen David Adom - Israel's medical emergency service.

I spent last summer in Israel and visiting some of the sites that were targeted on October 7th, including Sderot, the Nova Festival, and Ofakim deeply moved me.

I have chosen to run for MDA to honour the memory of all the medics, paramedics, and volunteers who were killed on October 7th, and in the subsequent war.

In particular, I will be dedicating my run to Saar Margolis, 37. Saar was a volunteer EMT with MDA Ofakim Station, who was killed by Hamas terrorists while protecting his kibbutz on October 7th. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Saar selflessly put himself in harm’s way in order to save others - may his memory be a blessing.
