Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you will know my Dad was diagnosed with advanced Stage 3 throat Cancer two years ago which was too dangerous to operate on. Thankfully after receiving intensive Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy treatment doctors were able to catch and kill the cancer. My Dad is now working his way back to good health.

During the intensive treatment my Dad required help from others as his health deteriorated rapidly. This is where Macmillan Cancer Support can be thanked for saving my Dads' life with their magnanimous support and constant care to help my him at his worst where nothing was too much trouble for any of their support team.

To thank them for all they done I have decided to run the Bupa Great North Run 2011 to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic but much overlooked charity.

I would hugely appreciate any donations to thank Macmillan and help them continue to provide outstanding care to Cancer patients.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thank you very much in advance.

Sean
