Story
Anyone who knows me well will know that I have somewhat of a retrospective relationship with most exercise. I enjoy it once it’s done.
In recent years, I’ve been teaching myself to like running. Like many sports, I find that it challenges me to push my limits both physically and mentally.
In 2023, I want to put my interest in running to good use and have decided to fundraise for the Psoriasis Association when I run the Cambridge Half.
Why Psoriasis Association? Well, psoriasis is a condition that affects people both physically and mentally. About 1.8 million people in the UK live with it. It’s a condition that develops at any age and can affect anyone regardless of gender. It affects each person differently and its physical symptoms aren’t always visible. Mine is a tiny patch of my scalp.
The Psoriasis Association conducts crucial research to help better understand and treat the condition. Equally importantly, they support people with day-to-day management of their psoriasis.
In the UK, there is no government funding for the work of the Psoriasis Association, so they rely on support from people like us. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
