Story
I am stepping out of my comfort zone for 1 month and will find myself running a the London Landmarks Half Marathon, as well as stepping into the boxing ring in a White Collar boxing match.
I expect to be obliterated by both, but its for a good cause.
For those that know me, I truly despise Cardio. I therefore decided to push myself to change, whilst supporting the great work that the Lily Foundation does.
Short story, Mitochondrial disease stop your cells producing enough energy, and when progressive, is usually fatal. The most commonly affected areas are the brain, muscle, liver, heart and kidney, and unfortunately the disease is usually progressive.
The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.
Every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
I'll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 23rd March, and stepping into the Boxing Ring on April 11th.
If you'd like to come and see me get beaten up, please get in contact and I'll send over the link for tickets.
Otherwise please do donate, my target is £850 for both events.
Many thanks all!
Donate, and I'll personally send a video of me being beaten up in the boxing match, and send various photos of myself gasping for breath on the half marathon. I'll make it worth your while.
