Seddon Firewalk

Seddon Firewalk · 8 February 2019
On Friday 8th February, Jonathan Seddon, CEO, Jamie Seddon
Managing Director of Seddon Developments, and Nicola Hodkinson, Director of Business Services, along with over 50 staff members, will carry out a barefoot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees to kick off the annual calendar of fundraising and staff events.
Jonathan Seddon, CEO of Seddon said: “It’s really great to see the whole business get behind this great cause and take part in the firewalk. To have over 50 employees including myself and my siblings take part is testament to our commitment to help eradicate homelessness in the Greater Manchester region.”
Seddon has been fundraising for the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of Europe's leading cancer centres for more than 25 years and so far, has raised more than £800,000 towards its target of £1m by 2020.
This year the company has added the GM Homelessness Fund to its charitable efforts as it looks to play an active role in helping find the solution for this increasing challenge within the community. The Fund was set up to help meet Mayor Andy Burnham’s pledge to eliminate rough sleeping across the city region by 2020.
It’s an independent charity which allocates funds to local organisations
through a grant process.
