Dear Everyone,

Well we are now back from the experience of a lifetime.  The  biking was very hard work and a very long way!  Lots hills,  and although Bryn did say undulating, we thought a couple of days could have been called hilly, so we can assure you we earned every penny that you SO kindly sponsored!  A good 350 miles in 5 days.

The  amazing thing was the total camaraderie, fun and laughter we had with everyone.  We were all  bikers with a common cause, and having the boys from Headley Court with us was very humbling when you see close to what they have to contend with in everyday life.  We felt privileged to get to know them, and in a small way do something to help.

We were also very lucky to have Military Historians travelling with us, (in  cars!!) who would lecture us about the battles that happened in the vicinity every day.  That was a mixture of 1st WW and 2nd.  It was emotional, not least at Theipval, a !st WW monument to 72,000, whose names are known but the bodies have never been identified.

To date we have raised just over £20,000 with cheques and donations and this just giving site, which as you can imagine has far exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful to you all. ( This site will be closing on July 1st.)
