Thanks to tremendously generous donations our fund raising for Breadline Africa's projects has already reached over £35,000. We hope to raise more before we set off from Peking at the end of May.
The drive covers 8,500 miles over five weeks in a 1927 Bentley 4 1/2 litre Le Mans and will take us through China, Mongolia, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuiania, Poland, Germany and France. For more information and to follow our progress go to http://www.pekingparis.com
Many of the roads in Asia and Eastern Europe are dirt or gravel tracks. There aren't many Bentley garages in Siberia so running repairs could be an issue! Along the way we should discover if it is possible for father and son to spend quite so much time together without trying to kill one another.
We are paying our own entry and running costs for the journey, so all of the money goes straight to charity. If you would like to see some of Breadline Africa’s excellent work please visit www.breadlineafrica.org.za
All donations are most welcome. Thank you very much for your support.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Breadline Africa will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
