I am deeply saddened by the news of a major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 hit southern Turkey on 6th February 2023. 

For my 40th birthday, instead of gifts or celebrations, I wish to raise money for Turkey Mozaik Foundation, who support civil society organisations working on the ground to provide help to survivors. 

35,500 people (including children) have died. Numbers are increasing. 

Thousands of children and families have been left now without shelter in freezing winter conditions and desperately need blankets, emergency shelter, food and clean water.
