This year we have decided to support the Cystic Fibrosis
Trust - a charity that has helped support members of our staff whose lives have been affected by the condition.
Our triathlon challenge is one of a number of fundraising
events we’ll be holding throughout the year, and we’d love as much support as possible from our friends and members!
The Centre to Centre Wellness Triathlon will see our Wellness gym management duo, James Arnold and Phil Waytt, along with shift supervisor, Lewis Balcombe, run from Sevenoaks Leisure Centre to Edenbridge Leisure Centre (9.4miles). James and Phil will then tackle the gruelling uphill cycle from Edenbridge to White Oak Leisure Centre in Swanley (17miles). Once they arrive they’ll tag a group of lifeguards who will complete a swim of 30 lengths each until they cover the distance between White Oak and Lullingstone Park Golf Course (3.5miles).
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
