Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Carly and I took on the 100km South West Coast Challenge 2 years ago to raise money for Parkinsons UK. In short, it was bloody hard work - we had rain, hail, scorching sunshine and about 5 minutes of the perfect weather conditions, but it was amazing to see other groups of people fundraising and taking part and getting to know a bit more about why people were lacing up their walking boots and choosing the life of blisters and sore legs!
As well as the fundraising, it was a big test of our own physical and mental ability (not to mention testing our friendship - only joking Carly...!) but we knew we had to honour the promise we had made to others. Clearly we're gluttons for punishment, so instead of doing it over 2 days with a quick nap and a shower, we'll be walking continuously for the whole 100km (including 2254m climb), early am start and through the night (with fashionable head torches) and hopefully completing it within 24/25 hours and with 4 limbs intact.
We appreciate that there are lots of people taking part in many amazing fundraising projects at the minute and you can't give to them all, but we'd really appreciate your support. We've chosen to split the charities this year and Carly will be taking part on behalf of Parkinsons UK, and I'll be walking for Dementia UK which is our CSquared chosen charity for the year. A lot of people will have had support from both of these amazing charities at some stage in their life, so please dig deep and help us hit our targets!
