Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The UK Sepsis Trust have helped each of the organisations involved in the cycle by providing resources that we use to improve our management of Sepsis. They are also helping us to set us a Somerset Sepsis Support Group for survivors and those affected to by Sepsis to support each other as they move forward.

If we spot and treat Sepsis quickly the reduction in deaths and long term consequences are greatly reduced, to treat it quickly we need the public to know what to look for and to ask 'Could it be Sepsis?' at the right time. Please help us spread the word and help us save lives by supporting this cycle.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
