I was diagnosed with an amelblastoma, an aggressive benign tumor of the jaw bone, in 2015. My lower right jaw was removed and replaced with bone from my illiac crest and tissue from my internal oblique stomach muscles.  The surgery changed my life and i have been battling pain ever since. I am permanently on a pureed diet with changes in structure and movement to my jaw. More debilitating is the impact of the hip graft. I have just had a DRG stimulator implanted in my spine in the hope to block the nerve signals that prevent my day to day movements. 

I met #mymatedaz through the amelblastoma Facebook support group, fellow amelo warriors from around the world. #mymatedaz is receiving new treatment for his tennis size amelblastoma which encourages the jaw bone to regrow. No bone graft taken. I want to support the research behind the new treatment so that more people can receive this amazing treatment and help fund more research for the rare disease of amelblastoma.
