Two start lines, one goal: faster progress against Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s has touched my family many times - my grandma, my uncle and now my mum. It changes everything. There is no cure yet, but there is real progress - and I want to help push it further.
In 2026 I am taking on two big firsts for Alzheimer’s Research UK: the 2026 Cambridge Half Marathon then the 2026 London Marathon. I am aiming to raise £3,000 to help fund research into early detection, risk reduction and new treatments. Your donation goes directly to Alzheimer’s Research UK via JustGiving.
I am not a natural distance runner. I started with short runs, then parkruns and now I am building up the miles - there are plenty of days when stopping would be easier but I keep going. Each run reminds me why this matters -families like mine need better answers and one day, a cure.
