Story
According to the United Nations Environment Program, of the 100 crop varieties that provide 90% of the world's food, 71 are pollinated by bees. In North America, honeybees alone pollinate nearly 95 kinds of fruits, such as almonds, avocados, cranberries and apples, in addition to commodity crops like soy.
Honeybees and other pollinators are suffering the adverse effects of habitat loss, pesticides, parasites, and poor nutrition. While some solutions may require large sums of money and government legislation there is one solution that everyone can provide: Plant A Bee Tree
Seven Ponds Beekeeping Club is raising funds to buy honeybee and pollinator friendly trees. These trees will provide natural and diverse nutrition to help offset the pesticides and other chemicals the bees encounter when pollinating farmed crops. A $10 donation will purchase one bee friendly tree to be planted by the club in 2023. In addition, Real Estate One will match your gift dollar for dollar until November 29th so your gift will have twice the impact!
Your gift this year will have lasting impact. Over a tree's lifetime it will not only help the bees but it will produce oxygen, store carbon, and make the world a more beautiful place.
