Severndroog to Windsor Castle · 1 August 2020

Severndroog Castle is an elegantly preserved Gothic tower situated on Shooter’s Hill, one of the highest points in London. From our viewing platform, you will be captivated by the spectacular 360° view of the capital and beyond.

Story

I have spent the last year volunteering at severndroog castle, a gothic 18th century tower located at the top of Shooters Hill, and have enjoyed every moment of it, especially the view from the top which lets you see almost every famous London landmark from one spot.

Over the course of the Covid 19 lockdown, Severndroog has had nearly all revenue cut off, from ticket sales to wedding hires. If the castle cannot support itself, it will most likely fall into disrepair as it did in the 1980s, and the public will lose this local hidden gem.

As Windsor Castle is the furthest landmark you can see from the viewing platform, me and my friends have decided to raise money by cycling there, from Severndroog. Please help us to keep Severndroog castle open by donating, or if you are unable to donate, please share this page with your friends and family.

Thank you,

Harry, Nathan, Charlie, Ben
