Story
We all know someone who has lost someone to cancer, someone who is receiving treatment for cancer and someone who has had cancer themselves. I fall into all these categories. I lost my mother over 20 years ago to Hodgkins Lymphoma and I am doing The Orchid Walk 2013 in her memory, in Northern Cyprus, where she was born and raised.
My fundraising is to help towards funding a pioneering line of research undertaken at Imperial College by Professor Djamgoz and his team who are looking at new targeted treatment options and non-invasive diagnostic tools. The results look very promising and they are currently doing pre-clinical trials. Their findings will make a huge difference to those affected by cancer as it will minimize the toxic side effects of chemotherapy.
I would really appreciate your support and all I am asking everyone to donate is a minimum of £3, put my appeal on your Facebook page, and ask your friends to also support me.
