A group of 32 dedicated volunteers give their time to raise much needed funds for our local hospital. Throughout the year we fundraise via our Shop situated in the hospital and undertake endless fundraising events within our hospital and the local community. We always welcome new volunteers.

Story

In less than a month, we will be embarking on an epic journey, cycling from Whitehaven, on the west coast of Cumbria across to Sunderland, on the east coast, a journey that will take us through 140 miles of rolling northern countryside, which we will complete within 48 hours.

We are raising money to support the charity partner of Branston Showroom Fulfilment Centre, Burton Hospitals League of Friends.

The League of Friends was formed in 1958 to raise money for local hospitals, in and around the Burton on Trent area, to buy equipment that they couldn’t purchase through their own budgets, and to provide additional comforts for the elderly and mentally ill.

Over the years, Burton Hospitals League of friends has raised many thousands of pounds for local hospitals, befriended patients who may not have visitors and provided minibus services to take visitors to see patients.

The League of Friends is a voluntary organisation, made possible thanks to the generous support of the Burton and District public and we are proud to be supporting them in continuing their essential work.
