As a band, we have struggled to record and produce our song and film "SUMMER SUN" through the Covid pandemic.

We actually started work on this song in April 2020 and finally completed it in December 2020 (just in time for Christmas). We had to work hard and persevere and we think that it has resulted in a wonderful sound. This can be likened to our mental health, as there are times when we need to persevere with that. This is why we have chosen SUNFLOWERS SUICIDE SUPPORT as our chosen charity to benefit from your generosity.  There is also the obvious connection of SUNflowers and Summer SUN.

As we pass through the deepest, darkest and shortest days of winter, we hope that this song will bring a hope, a nostalgia and a joy of the summers yet to come.

Thank you for your generosity.

Bill (Billdog) Davies, Matt (Matley) Allen, Brendan (Ole Yella) Conboy and Duncan (Barky) Birch

About the charity

Sunflowers was created in memory of Pete Morris who died by suicide in 2016. His family developed the Charity to walk alongside others bereaved by suicide and to be a small ray of light in the darkness; offering others comfort and support that is so desperately needed at such a difficult time. Sunflowers endeavour to provide other families with practical and professional support so they do not feel overwhelmed and alone. This we hope will give a glimmer of hope for the future. Sunflowers also raise awareness around mental health and suicide both on social media and by networking locally and nationally. We deliver accredited training to the wider community and presentations sharing our story. We highlight that it is Okay to not be ‘Okay’ and the importance of talking and of course listening. We feel that everyone can play a small part in connecting with and helping others to feel less alone.
