Story
Welcome Friends and Family. Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
What do you do when challenged by your daughter?
My daughter Falgu is travelling from Cape Town to Nairobi and on the journey plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa at 5895m (19,341 feet).
She has asked myself and her brother Paras to join her, and we have under three weeks to prepare. We start on 9th July - and it will take eight days!
Paras and I are getting the permissions and travel plans in place, and we ask you to please kindly support the Shah Family in raising funds for a super cause - the El Shaddai Charitable Trust, where "each child matters".
A couple of years ago , we met the Children and Anita its founder whilst walking along the beach in Candolim, Goa. We were touched by the children and the work the Charity does.
El Shaddai
The El Shaddai Charitable Trust (ESCT) is a registered, non-profit Charity working in Goa and the other states of India. ESCT implements the Child Rights Act 2003/05 for orphans, street children and children coming from economically underprivileged conditions.
Children are cared for and provided with shelter, food, clothing and education, for their better future. We have Residential Homes, Day Care and Community Centres. They also run Cottages for the senior children who are attending University, Colleges, Technical Institutions, Professional Training Centres and working as Trainees & Staff at the Charity itself.
El Shaddai have Manna Khana – free food distribution programme on weekdays. Manna takeaway packets are provided for around 300 poor and needy children including adults living on the streets. They have a number of schools in the slum areas providing educational facilities to the slum children. In addition to this, their Outreach Projects continue to benefit and change lives in Southern and Western States of India.
El Shaddai has impacted thousands of children and families over the years and continues to touch more lives through its various initiatives. "We want to reach out to many more children with the love of God."

Standing tall in the face of adversity, I hope I can stand at all afterwards. Please support this worthy cause in anyway you can.
Thank you for your kind support.
Paras, Falgu & Sanjiv
Sanjiv, Falgu and Paras are
amazing!
Climbing all that way is no
easy feat but well worth the effort and I am not just talking about the
personal achievement and the amazing view but how they have been able to make
it possible for El Shaddai to transform the lives of many children in India.
The first 23 boys have entered the Home at Verna and will receive the love,
education and nurturing that they need to help them grow into confident, good
and productive citizens. This can only be achieved with the help of the
resources and encouragement of friends like you. Thank you. Ruth Bealing UK
