I'm running the London Marathon this year and I'm raising money for a charity which supports those affected with Spina bifida and Hydrocephalus. Spina bifida literally means ‘split spine’. A fault in the development of the spinal cord and surrounding bones (vertebrae) leaving a gap or split in the spine. A build up of fluid on the brain, hydrocephalus can have a range of physical and cognitive effects.

Shine's aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of people affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, and associated conditions.This is a cause that's very close to my heart, having had a family member suffer from Hydrocephalus, and I'll be running this marathon for her. 

Shine is almost entirely funded by the generosity of the general public. Your donation changes lives. It will enable us to provide vital early intervention, support groups, training events, information, reassurance and so much more.
