Story

Hello, my name is Shanaya and I am 6 years old. I am participating in a sponsored read during the October half term holiday to help Hertfordshire Community Foundation in raising funds to support Afghan refugees in Hertfordshire, following the escalating crisis in Afghanistan. I have chosen to read 10 books in 5 days as I love to read. As my sponsored readathon will fall on Halloween week, I have therefore chosen to read magical fiction books by Harriet Muncaster called “Isadora Moon” and “Mirabelle” whose characters are half witch, fairy and vampire.

Acting as a central point for the county's fundraising efforts, HCF will use funds raised to support local groups and organisations providing vital assistance and help to local Afghans as they adapt to their new circumstances now and in the longer term.HCF is also working in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council too.
