Story

Hey Everyone, Thankyou for taking the time to visit my page. As many of you are aware in the Last 5 years I have been taking part in several half marathons in memory of my late Grandma, the very Honourable Pat Fountain who passed away 11 years ago, due to a uncurable stroke. My grandma was a very special lady, who at the age of 62 was still a football coach to our local team (East coast), netball player (Abbeys Angels) and my swimming coach. She was my Idol and my best friend and for that reason alone I want to show my appreciation in a way I know she would love!
I always promised her I would do great things with my life and after completing my studies at University and doing lots of volunteering work I thought it was time to take on a new challenge and start running. To this date I have completed *3 in the Great North Run and London run to the beat. Having applied for the london marathon for the last 3 years and not been picked, i was estactic to be informed the Stroke associaton had given me a place on the Gold bond charity entry. I cant explain how excited, overwhelmed and honoured i am to be taking part, and i hope i make everyone proud, especially my Guardian Angel who all this is for, I love you!!!

This upcoming year March 2014,  will mark my Grandmas 76th birthday (6th) and 12th year anniversary (7th), so im planning on doing lots of different charity events and organise a big night in memory of my Wonderful Grandma.
By making a pledge on my behalf you will be supporting people and their families affected by this devastating condition.

Everyones words of encouragment are fabulous and make training that little bit easier!!!

Thankyou for your help
Shan x
