My name is Shane Bassett and I am the Area Sales Manager for South West & Wales at Highlife Bathrooms. This March I am partnering with MPH Bathrooms in Moordown to raise funds for their chosen charity Amelia's Rainbow by running the Cardiff Half.

Amelia’s Rainbow supports children in Dorset and the surrounding area who are suffering from any terminal, life-limiting, serious and chronic illnesses. We aim to create an environment full of fun, laughter, achievement and memories. Find out more here: https://ameliasrainbow.com/

I have so far completed 4 half marathons raised £4000 for various causes such as the Heart Foundation, Prostate Cancer and It’s in the Bag, Testicular Cancer. My personal best is 2 hours and 10 mins and my goal is to try and beat this at the Cardiff Marathon on 27 March 2022.

The route will take me past the capital’s most iconic landmarks with beautiful scenery and historic buildings. The predominately flat and fast course makes it ideal to challenge my personal best.
