My Story on why St David's Hospice touched my life and my families life.

Its been over 3 months since my Father in law passed away on June 10th at his home in Greenmeadow, Cwmbran.  I remember the day as if it was yesterday.  All the emotion of all the people you care for.  Watching someone you love, pass away in front of you from a cruel diease.  There isnt a day that David isn't thought about.  I see the pain daily on my wife's face when she remembers is ways, how he would always answer the phone with ok lovely.  How he would always tease our son Callum if Man United lost and Liverpool won.  When Liverpool recently  beat Man United, we were expecting the phone to ring and David ask for Callum and Start teasing him.  But that day never happen.

We are keeping to all our promises now.  Taking Callum to watch Newport County, we think of you even more on those days, Callum finds it easy to talk about David. His eyes still light up, when he talks about County, Wembley and David.

Through this very sad year, without the support of St Davids Hospice Care. The Days would of been even long or never ending.  There kind words, how they could explain the hardest things with soft and meaningful words, would put the whole family at ease.

Without there support and friendship this terrible year would of been 100 times harder.

So to raise awareness of St Davids Hospice Care, I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon.  Its my little way of giving a little back.  So please help to support this wonderful Charity, by sponsoring me
