Hello everyone , I’m Shane and this is my faithful companion Toby and together on Tuesday 5th April we will attempt a 5k walk for our local charity Hospice Hope. At Hicks Lodge.

Hospice Hope provide support to those who have had their life expectancy or quality of life affected by a long-term medical condition.

Their volunteers, staff and therapists have supported me since 2019 and throughout the pandemic.

I have Wolfram syndrome which is a rare genetic disorder that causes diabetes, blindness and deafness as well as other possible disorders.

A 5K walk is quite a challenge for me but with Toby and friends I am sure I will be successful.
