Story
Hi, Arbour House is an entirely voluntary based charity which provides respite for adults with learning difficulties and their parents. From Friday night to Sunday evening volunteers give their time to help provide a home away from home for our guests and give them the opportunity to socialise go on day trips and relax in a friendly environment. Arbour House also provides a fortnightly Wednesday night club for our guests to meet up on a more regular basis, and an annual holiday during the summer.
I have been privileged to work alongside the wonderful volunteers in Arbour House for the past 2 years and gained for more in terms of enjoyment than anything I’ve put in. Arbour House is a credit to the community and its founder Sr. Anne Marie Crawford.
