I've been involved with Emerald Youth for over 30 years. I started out as a volunteer when I moved to Knoxville for graduate school and helped lead small groups, tutored high school students and went on many weekend camps. At some point, I also became a monthly donor, and then 17 years ago I joined as a full-time staff member.  All of these roles have given me a great perspective about the needs of young people in our city and the difference that can be made!  I'm rising up with Emerald Youth so that every child, in every neighborhood has the opportunity for a full life! Emerald Youth helps young people achieve key milestones of development from the elementary grades, through middle and high school, and into young adulthood. All of this with the purpose of producing large cohorts of promising, Godly, young adult leaders for our city.
