Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am very excited to taking part in the 2.6 challenge. I was supposed to volunteer at the Rotary Shakespeare Half Marathon on Sunday April 26, so instead I had to think of another way to raise money. I am good at sewing and thought why not provide something that could help us when we try to resume our normal lives. Donations for the first 26 masks will be go to support the beneficiary projects in southern Africa who are facing particular challenges with the lockdown in rural communities. As schools are closed and access to foodstuffs is limited due to travel restrictions many people, who already live hand to mouth, are experiencing severe deprivation and risking malnutrition. Our projects are able to provide food parcels to children and other vulnerable households. .
The masks are made according to the WHO guidelines. They are made from100% cotton, have a pocket for a filter as well as a nose wire to ensure a perfect fit. However they will not prevent you from contracting Covid-19.
If you would like a particular colour mask (either NHS blue, navy blue, Navy blue with dots, or the one as shown on the picture, email me at sharifitzpatrick@me.com. There will also be a special rainbow edition (see picture in post). Completed masks will be shipped to you via the postal service.
