Many people think that Race for Life is just for "women's cancers" but it's to raise money for Cancer Research UK.  This is one of the only events that only women take part in (hence the confusion).  It’s vital for funding life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.  By sponsoring me now, you can help more people survive cancer.

 

My Grandpa was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and a very close friend of mine was also diagnosed.  However, they have both managed to beat it and truly are such amazing, inspiring people.  It has become an issue very close to my heart and I'd like you all to help me raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK so we can carry on beating Cancer!

 

So many people are affected by cancer each day, whether they have it themselves or know someone who has been a victim of it.  It's so important to keep raising money for this worthwhile cause, in the hope that one day, we can find a cure and beat cancer.  This will be my fourth year taking part in the Race for Life and I would love for us to beat what was raised last year (£127) and the years before (£217 and £233).  

 

Please give as much as you can, it's quick and easy, or if you're likely to see me soon, perhaps that would be an easier way for you.  It would really mean a lot to me and so many other people.  Don't feel that a certain amount isn't enough- anything is better than nothing! Even a spare 50p that you have would help so much in the long run!  (If you gift aid it too, then Cancer Research gain an extra 25% from the donation and it doesn’t cost you)

Like every year, I'll be skipping for as much of the event as possible, in fancy dress and pink of course, and I guess when I end up tripping over my own feet, I'll run instead...
