Story
0n 2nd April, just before Fred’s 17th birthday, I am taking part in the London Landmark Half Marathon to continue to support CCLG & Don’t Look Down’s quest to find kinder treatments for children diagnosed with cancer including Leukaemia
Kindness was one of Fred’s outstanding qualities; his family, friends, teachers and sports coaches all have wonderful memories of his acts of kindness during his all-too-short life.
I have no doubt Fred would be the greatest supporter of our family's resolve to help other children facing a devastating cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment regime. I can only imagine the harebrained, crazy, messy, and no doubt dangerous fundraising ideas he would have come up with!!
I hope that in running the half marathon I can do him proud and help raise some money in a more traditional way, although with my track record it could still be viewed as dangerous!
Any donation, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated. Every single pound really does help and will continue to boost funds for CCLG and Don’t Look Down, helping to support research and clinical trials which will be a fitting legacy to Fred and all of the other children who have been robbed of their future, in the hope that in the future children facing this diagnosis have more hope of recovery and also endure fewer brutal side effects than with existing cancer treatments. Thank you
